Local chapter updates: Central New York group meets today

The newly re-formed Central New York ACDIS Chapter meets today at noon via teleconference (to join the group, complete the online membership roster). During the meeting, chapter leaders plan to take a closer look at the recently released ACDIS Position Paper “Developing effective CDI leadership: A matter of effort and attitude.” Each member of the leadership team will address a different section of the Position Paper and discuss their views regarding the guidance and describe personal experiences they’ve had regarding their own professional and personal growth. The group will open the discussion up to the rest of the membership and attendees will come away from the meeting with both a broader understanding of the content of the Position Paper and be able to leverage those ideas into activities at their organization.

• The Missouri-Kansas City ACDIS Chapter meets on Tuesday, July 25, 2-4 p.m., at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. For information, contact Christine Schattenfield (cschattenfield@kumc.edu).

• The Massachusetts Chapter meets on August 11, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza in Newton. The event is in collaboration with New England state AHIMA and ACDIS component organizations. To register, click here.
