ACDIS update: Applications for Advisory Board, Chapter Advisory Committee, and Resource Library Committee open now
ACDIS volunteer boards and committees are the cornerstone of our organization, serving the ACDIS community through best-practice guidance, celebration and appreciation programs, advocacy of other members, and much more.
Volunteers also have personal opportunity to widen their own personal and professional network through their terms of service. Truly, each committee reflects the greater goal of the association—to provide a circle where CDI professionals can meet, learn, network, and collaborate with their peers.
These groups are made up of eight to 12 ACDIS members from all professional and personal backgrounds, geographic locations, and organization types. Right now, ACDIS is calling for volunteer applications for the following committees:
- The ACDIS Advisory Board: Provides collective leadership, expertise, and written guidance for the ACDIS membership and the broader CDI profession through individual work on specific projects (e.g., joint authorship of white papers and position papers), group discussion, and oversight and review of the work of sub-committees and conference presenters. Note: this year, the board has openings for one individual from a physician background, one individual from an HIM background, and five individuals from a clinical background.
- The Chapter Advisory Committee: Its members serve as liaisons between local chapter leaders and ACDIS national administration by participating on chapter leadership conference calls, promoting best practice, and providing guidance to leaders across the country.
- Resource Library Committee: Reviews materials donated to the ACDIS community for publication in the Resource Library for accuracy, compliance, relevance, and effectiveness.
