ACDIS update: Use this justification letter to earn administrative support for ACDIS 2023 conference attendance!
While some may be able to cover their own costs for the upcoming ACDIS 2023 conference, many rely on the support from their program administrators. If you are looking to receive the education, networking, and inspiration available at the national conference but are unsure of how to propose funding for it, feel free to adapt and use this justification letter as your proposal!
As a rule, we recommend adding details and organization-specific information in the letter. The more personal and tailored your request, the better your chances will be to earn support for attendance. Identify areas you know that your team is struggling with and/or priorities for your CDI department in the upcoming year, and how education from the national conference will help.
It's also beneficial to leverage any data relative to these priorities that can demonstrate the importance of obtaining additional information. For example, if your program is looking to expand into pediatrics, you might note the number of sessions from the 2023 agenda addressing pediatric concerns. Similarly, if your program is looking to expand into quality, identify the sessions that might pertain to your practice and do a search of the ACDIS website for related articles and data on that concern to provide additional details for your management team.
We wish you eloquence and clarity as you put together this proposal, and hope you can join us this May 8-11 in the heart of Chicago! Click here to access the justification letter template. Click here to look over the ACDIS 2023 national conference agenda.
