Conference corner: Presentation pitches sought for 2021 annual ACDIS conference
ACDIS is moving ahead with plans for its 2021 annual conference slated for Dallas, Texas, next May. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ACDIS events staff and the volunteer ACDIS events committee will be working to not only provide the excellent education and community building for this in-person event that those in the CDI profession have come to expect but also contingency plans should the pandemic proliferate and make physical distancing a continued concern next spring.
In order to do so, we need your help. We need your willingness to share your experiences, to share your expertise, to share your stories about the challenges you’ve faced and the steps you’ve taken to overcome them with your CDI colleagues on the national stage.
ACDIS has opened the call for speaker submissions starting in July with a soft launch. That means you simply need to submit your session idea along with a short description, some learning objectives, and a brief bio for your speakers via email to Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas at mvarnavas@acdis.org. Please use the subject line “2021 presentation pitch.”
The 2020/2021 Events Committee will begin reviewing applications in September.
