ACDIS update: Provider Engagement Series continues with first case study

A couple weeks ago the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) debuted the Provider Engagement Series with its first position paper, Provider Engagement and the “Why,” which you can read here.

ACDIS is pleased to debut our first case study in the series, “Clinical Integration of CDI.” This case study covers provider engagement at Essentia Health and Vidant Health, two facilities with a strong onsite CDI presence. It also includes best practices shared between the two organizations. Download and read the case study here.

Written in collaboration with the ACDIS advisory board, this series is intended to discuss the why and how of provider engagement, and the critical role it plays in the success of CDI initiatives.

In the coming months ACDIS members will receive additional white papers, case studies, and the opportunity to participate in and receive the results of a national survey on provider engagement and its relationship to CDI chart review productivity. The organizations featured in the written case studies will also be featured on our ACDIS quarterly conference calls.
