ACDIS update: Throw your hat into the ACDIS CDI Scholarship ring
Back in September, ACDIS announced the launch of the inaugural ACDIS CDI Scholarship program with the purpose of assisting CDI professionals in enhancing their careers with further education and increasing collaboration among colleagues by sharing knowledge.
ACDIS will award three scholarships annually for the following educational activities. Please note that ACDIS will provide each recipient with the registration information and/or login instructions, etc., related to accessing their award, rather than a monetary prize.
- One-year ACDIS membership plus enrollment in the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship program
- Registration to an online CDI Boot Camp of the recipients’ choice
- Registration to the ACDIS national conference and a set travel budget provided by our 2020 scholarship sponsor, Nuance
The 2019/2020 ACDIS CDI Scholarship is sponsored by Nuance, which will allow ACDIS to reimburse the scholarship recipient attending the 2020 conference for up to $1,500 in travel expenses.
Nuance provides intelligent systems that support a more natural and insightful approach to clinical documentation, freeing clinicians to spend more time caring for patients. Nuance healthcare solutions capture, improve and communicate more than 300 million patient stories each year, helping more than 500,000 clinicians in 10,000 global healthcare organizations to drive meaningful clinical and financial outcomes. Nuance’s award-winning clinical speech recognition, medical transcription, CDI, coding, quality, and medical imaging solutions provide a more complete and accurate view of patient care.
In order to be awarded the conference seat, applicants must be active in the CDI field, working in the profession. Those who have completed the ACDIS Apprenticeship program but are not yet working the field may also apply for the membership and Boot Camp awards.
