Local chapter update: Chapter Advisory Board webinar for local leaders, today
The Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) provides collective leadership, expertise, and written guidance for ACDIS local chapter and networking volunteer leaders. Through individual work on specific projects, group discussion, as well as oversight and review local chapter efforts, CAB members provide defined, compliant policy as well as a growth-oriented, forward-thinking vision of the CDI profession and the role networking plays in personal and professional advancement for those working in the field.
The CAB meets monthly and holds a series of webinar discussions for local chapter volunteers. It’s next call for those who are currently volunteering with /networking groups is today, June 20, at noon, eastern.
The agenda will be informal and include:
- Local chapter activities at the national conference
- How to make the most of event networking
- Recruiting speakers
- Sample letters
- Leveraging internal expertise
- Developing effective meeting agendas
- Icebreakers to giveaways
- Tools for maintaining effective volunteer leadership planning meetings
- Keeping meeting minutes
- Delegating tasks
- Rotating responsibilities

June:
- The Chapter Advisory Board invites chapter leaders and members to join them for a panel discussion on Thursday, June 20, 12-1 p.m., via webinar. Click here to register.
- The Maine ACDIS chapter meets Friday, June 28 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. The agenda includes guest speaker MedPartners’ Karen Newhouser, a past-ACDIS Advisory Board member who will discuss physician query best practices.
