Welcome Allen Frady to the ACDIS team
ACDIS is excited to introduce the newest member of the ACDIS team— Allen Frady, RN, BSN, CCS, CCDS, AHIMA-Approved ICD 10 CM/PCS Trainer is joining us as our newest CDI Education Specialist and will serve as an instructor in our CDI boot camps.
Frady is an accomplished consultant with a background in coding and documentation. His experience includes 12 years as a coding consultant, two years as a coding director at the Medical College of Georgia, six years as a CDI consultant, one year as a case manager, and five years as a nurse in step down ICU and cardiac telemetry at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro NC and at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC. Consulting experience includes auditing and contract work, and CDI experience includes didactic education, project coordination, and account management.
Frady holds certifications as a CCDS, CCS, and AHIMA approved ICD 10 CM/PCS Trainer. Allen graduated from UNCG and has worked long term contracts at facilities such as UNC Chapel Hill, Emory in Atlanta, Forsyth in Winston Salem NC and has conducted CDI education for systems such as Dignity Health, HSHS Hospital Systems, and Thomas Jefferson University.
Just for fun, Frady writes for ICD-10 and RAC Monitors and speaks at state-level AHIMA conferences when his schedule permits. Last year, he was able to squeeze in four speaking engagements between clients. Becoming a full time instructor for ACDIS was one of those “bucket lists” positions for Frady and when the opportunity presented itself, he could not pass it up!
Frady currently resides in Augusta Georgia. In his free time, he enjoys watching his 15-year-old son play high school football, sci-fi, attending car shows, and maintaining his 240 gallon salt water reef aquarium. Frady has four kids ages 12, 15, 24 and 26, and a granddaughter age 2. He also has four cats and a pit-bull terrier.
We’re thrilled to welcome Frady aboard—please join us in welcoming him to the ACDIS team!
