Coding guidelines for physicians
This sample was reviewed and approved by the ACDIS Resource Library Committee in 2023. The committee noted that, should you use this resource, the reference to RW in the 2nd column must be removed, as it is too confusing for providers and technically inaccurate. Additionally, the relative weights of the DRGs must be updated with current data. The CDS team at St. Cloud Hospital in Minnesota put together the attached coding guidelines for physicians. These can be used as a reference for the CDI department or as an educational handout for physicians.
