Symposium spotlight: Apply to speak at the 2019 ACDIS Outpatient CDI Symposium

ACDIS is currently seeking speakers to present at the 2019 ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI, to be held November 14-15, at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas. Click here to view and complete the speaker application.

The deadline for presentation applications has been extended to Friday, March 15.

We’re seeking presentations on all aspects of outpatient CDI. That includes regulatory guidance and best practices for establishing successful programs in all settings, including physician practices, ambulatory, observation, ED, and other relevant areas. Sessions from organizations with successful programs who are willing to share their best practices are particularly welcome and will receive additional consideration.

Presentations are roughly 50 minutes with 10 minutes and questions from the audience. Traditional presentations have one or two speakers. While panel discussion suggestions are welcome only the two principal presenters will have their conference fees waived. Those interested in submitting an idea for a poster presentation or lightning round session should also apply for these items now. Posters are a visual representation of a case study or program enhancement and lightning round sessions are 10-15 minute presentations regarding a highlight from your program/outpatient efforts.

Sessions will be chosen by the 2019 ACDIS Symposium Committee, who seek to meet the needs of those who already have outpatient CDI programs at their organizations as well as those implementing CDI efforts in outpatient arenas.

CDI and/or HIM/coding professionals typically present at ACDIS, but we also welcome practicing physicians, case management and quality personnel, healthcare auditors, lawyers, and other professionals with a tie to, or an interest in, CDI.
