Note from the Product Coordinator: New ACDIS page for physician advisors!

Attention physician advisors and all CDI professionals who frequently work with these advisors: ACDIS is pleased to announce a page dedicated exclusively to physician advisor content!

You can access it by clicking here or by hovering over “Thought Leadership” section of the website’s main menu and selecting “Physician Advisors” from the dropdown. Once you arrive at this new page for physician advisors, you’ll be able to select from six menu options, several of which are highlighted here:

Physician Advisor Resources contains links to both free content and content exclusive to ACDIS members.

• To access reports and slides from past ACDIS conferences relevant to physician advisors, click here and use the dropdown to select the “Physician Advisors” category.
• To access brief articles from our weekly e-newsletter CDI Strategies and full articles from our bimonthly CDI Journal (an ACDIS-member exclusive), click here and select “Physician Advisors” in the left-hand menu.

ACDIS Physician Advisor Forum is our event dedicated exclusively to physician advisors in CDI.

• This year’s forum takes place April 7-8, right before the ACDIS national conference, in Indianapolis!
• Topics across the two-day conference include engaging providers in documentation efforts, leveraging metrics to demonstrate return on investment, employing specific strategies to decrease denials, and much more. The option of two tracks on day one makes the event perfect for those new to the role or for those looking to take the next step in their careers.

The Physician Advisor Committee was launched in the summer of 2023 and is dedicated to providing collective expertise, as well as written guidance for physician advisors in CDI. The committee is currently working on a white paper defining the role of the physician advisor in CDI. To learn more about the committee and its members, click here.

The Physician Advisor Mastermind is a tightknit group of eight to 10 handpicked physician advisors committed to advancing concrete goals and helping their peers do the same. The 2024 cohort is sponsored by 3M Health Information Systems.
