Last month, more than 1,000 people came to the ACDIS website from social media platforms. Are you connected with us on social media? We are constantly responding to comments, posting helpful links, and facilitating interactions between ACDIS family members. If you haven’t joined the conversation, now’s the time.

One great way to connect is by sending us your pictures to share with others. Send us a selfie, a picture of your team, or a picture of an everyday CDI experience (win over any physicians lately? Show us!) and we’ll share them with the ACDIS community. Plus, you’ll be entered to win a fun ACDIS prize!

Every day of the week, we post pictures on Instagram. We love to see your faces and hear about your CDI triumphs; we think you’ll love it too. Instagram allows users to share single pictures with their followers along with a caption, links, and tags.

While the pictures are fun on their own, Instagram can be a great networking tool too. It gives social media interactions a personal spin, allowing you to connect with others in your peer group on a virtual face-to-face basis. For example, many programs have a bulletin board where they “award” physicians “stars” for being great documenters. Snap a shot of yourself with your “star physician” and send it to us. Not only will this highlight how great that physician’s hard work, but it’ll help other CDI programs develop their own recognition programs.

CDI can feel like a solo operation. Instagram (and really social media in general) provides a way to connect with others across the country, get to know them as people, and build a community that knows your struggles and joys intimately.
