Note from the ACDIS Director: Announcing the debut of The ACDIS Podcast: Talking CDI
By Brian Murphy
One of my favorite roles in my job as ACDIS director is serving as host of the online program ACDIS Radio. For those that don’t know, ACDIS Radio is a free program that requires only registration. It airs every other Wednesday from 11:30-noon.
I am proud to have served as host for some 120 episodes of ACDIS Radio, which debuted back in October 2014. Up until recently ACDIS Radio was only available online via GoToWebinar. But we’ve got some great news to share: ACDIS Radio is now a full-fledged podcast, available for you to subscribe and listen on-the-go on Apple Podcasts or iTunes.
With this news, we decided that a little housecleaning and updating was in order. So our ACDIS Radio name and logo are going away, to be replaced with something more suited to our new platform: The ACDIS Podcast: Talking CDI! You can now subscribe on iTunes or Apple Podcasts, and listen on the go.
If you’re a loyal listener of ACDIS Radio, don’t fret: The show is largely unchanged. We are still planning on bringing you the best and brightest minds in CDI, every other Wednesday, in a tidy half-hour format. You can expect to hear from CDI professionals, including managers, directors, physicians, consultants, technology vendors, advisory board members, educators, and more. We’re still going to bring you the latest news stories and information relevant to the CDI profession and ACDIS, as well as interactive audience polls to help you keep a pulse on what’s going on the industry and what your peers are doing in their CDI departments nationwide.
Here’s a look at some recent and upcoming shows:
- April 24: Research as the Future of CDI, with Dr. Howard Rodenberg
- May 8: Acute respiratory distress syndrome, with Dr. Richard Pinson, author of the CDI Pocket Guide
- May 15: Opioid use, and 2019 ACDIS conference send-off, with Allen Frady and Faisal Hussain
All our prior episodes of ACDIS Radio are available in the archives, right here at our home base on the ACDIS website.
You might be asking, what future shows should I expect from The ACDIS Podcast: Talking CDI? The ACDIS Podcast: Talking CDI is listener-driven, and we’d love to hear from you. We are currently looking for topic ideas from our listeners, and we’re also booking guests. If you’d like us to cover a certain topic, or if you are interested in joining the podcast as a guest on a future program, you can get in touch with me by clicking here.
In the meantime, happy listening!
