A Note from the ACDIS Conference: First time attendees have a lot to look forward to

Like many of you, this week is a busy one as I prepare to head to Atlanta next week for the ninth annual ACDIS conference. It will be my first time attending—I joined the ACDIS team in January—and I am excited to experience for myself what everyone keeps telling me is “the best conference ever!

Like many first-time attendees, I have a lot to look forward to. On Tuesday, I’ll serve as a room moderator for Track 5: Innovative CDI and I will have my notebook at the ready to jot down ideas I want to remember about the innovative programs and new ways of doing CDI that will be discussed. The speakers will share lessons they have learned and useful tips so that others may try similar programs and expand into whole new worlds for CDI.

I intend to spend some time over the next few days looking at the agenda and identifying which sessions I want to attend on Wednesday and Thursday. It’s easy to see all the topics and make a decision on which ones you want to attend by using the conference app. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app, visit the Apple store or Google Play store and search for “ACDIS 2016.”

During the conference, the app will be your navigator for which room your sessions will be in and where to find exhibitors in the exhibit hall. It’s also a way to network and engage with other conference attendees.
