New questions from Council members on metric sharing

Alicia Mitchell, MSN, RN, CCDS, director of CDI at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky, asks: “We are very transparent with our metrics and have a robust CDI dashboard that contains all of our KPIs. We have the ability to filter by CDI specialist, provider, and coder. All of our team members have access to the dashboard. We send out monthly metrics to our CDI team as a group since it’s open to everyone and helps create that accountability. We do the same with provider report cards. Do you share your team’s metrics as a group? If so, what is your rationale? If not, what is the rationale?”
