Minnesota: Meets Wednesday, January 23, 1-2 p.m., for a group discussion on ICD-10 preparation and electronic medical record (EMR) implementation. Agenda includes:
- Prompts in EMR: How can facilities embed CDI prompts in the EMR to assist the provider?
- EMR CDI documentation: How are smart text phrases used: free text only? Any additional forms filled out
- Directing the ‘problem list’: Does CDI or coding staff review or refer to the problem list
- ICD-10 transition and education: Are there ICD-10 project leads or task teams in place to educate providers, education tools for CDI specialists and coding staff?
