Local chapter updates: Chapter celebrates retiring members

Though the latest Kentucky/Southern Indiana Chapter meeting incorporated many of chapter meeting mainstays—educational sessions, networking, and chapter business—it also included a special celebration.

Two of the Chapter’s prominent members will be retiring before the next meeting in February, so the Kentucky/Indiana Chapter leaders threw them a celebration.

Denise Sanders, CDI specialist at Norton Healthcare, was one of three CDI specialists to start the program at her facility more than 20 years ago; Rita Fields, CDI regional manager at Baptist Health, has been a constant force in CDI her entire career and was the recipient of the 2017 ACDIS CDI Professional of the Year Award. Both women will be retiring soon and will be missed very much. 

ACDIS wishes Sanders and Fields all the best as they move into the next stage of retirement! Both will be missed by all!
