Local chapter update: A note to chapter leaders for 2018 planning

Lately, I’ve been sending out emails to chapter leaders across the country asking for their latest updates and giving them a few reminders along the way. I wanted to pass along the information here, too.

First, if you have events scheduled for 2018, let us know. Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas and I try to keep all the local chapter pages on the ACDIS website as up-to-date as possible. If you have an upcoming meeting, please send the following information to Melissa (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and me (larchibald@acdis.org):

• Date and time of event
• Location of event
• Type of event (quarterly, etc.) if applicable
• Contact person for the event
• Any other relevant information (speakers, CEUs, etc.)

We will then post this information to the individual chapter pages and in this list in CDI Strategies. Doing so helps publicize your event and grow your local chapter roster. The chapter pages are also a great place to find chapter announcements and resources. If there’s something you want to add to your page, contact us.

My second reminder has to do with the chapter agreement form. Local chapter leaders are required to review and sign the form on an annual basis each January. The form outlines everything that’s expected of leaders and of ACDIS as partners with you, so it’s definitely worth a read.

Chapters that don’t submit the form will not be considered official ACDIS chapters, so please take a moment to sign and return it to us. Plus, chapter leaders receive some special perks through the form, so be sure to read the entire agreement form.
