Local chapter update: Look out for the 2024 Local Chapter Agreement Form in January

It’s almost that time of year again, chapter leaders! As always, ACDIS national strives to work in concert with ACDIS local chapters to allow for opportunities to network, share resources, obtain educational opportunities, and enhance the mission of the CDI profession. In the ACDIS Local Chapter Agreement Form, ACDIS provides a description of its services rendered to local chapters, the responsibilities of core leadership volunteers, and the general terms of agreement.

This agreement form must be signed, either physically or electronically, by at least three core team volunteers from at least two (ideally three) different facilities annually. With that in mind, pay attention to your inboxes as the new year starts and we send out the updated 2024 form for you to sign!

Also, remember that core leaders who successfully complete one year of voluntary service are eligible for a discount on ACDIS national membership in the year following their service.

December:

• The South Carolina ACDIS chapter is offering an on-demand webinar available from October 1 to December 31, 2023. The program is titled, “Social Determinants of Health - Quality of Care Implications,” and was presented by Donicia Lee, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS. • The Greater New York ACDIS chapter meets Thursday, December 14, 2023, 2–3 p.m., via webinar. The topic is “CDI and the Mortality Index Ratio.” For information, contact Kalena Britt (greaterNYacdis@gmail.org).

January:

• The Central Pennsylvania ACDIS chapter meets Friday, January 12, 2024, 9:45 a.m. to 1:25 p.m., via webinar, for their first quarterly meeting. For information, contact Courtney Spangler (cspangler4@wellspan.org).
• The Illinois ACDIS chapter meets Wednesday, January 17, 2024, 12–1 p.m., via webinar. The program is titled, “CDI Developmental Reviews and Monitoring CDI Review Performance,” and will be presented by Jennifer Hrabal, MSN, RN, CCDS, and Carley Lively, MSN, RN, CCDS.
