Director's Note: 5th Annual ACDIS Conference underway

We have already experienced a tremendous turn-out for our two pre-conference events the ICD-10 for CDI Boot Camp and The Physician Advisor's Role in CDI: A Collaborative Approach for Success. This morning ACDIS welcomes keynote speaker Janet Lapp, MD, who presents Change: The choice is ours, and general session speakers Benjamin S. Schecter and Sarah B. Morris to discuss a case study involving Medicare claims recoupment.

 

The entire first day of the conference is one filled with informative sessions and capped off with celebrations. During lunch we will honor our 2012 CDI Professional of the Year award winner and our two Recognition of CDI Professional Achievement honorees. Tonight many attendees will enjoy special events hosted by ACDIS vendors or participate in after-hours gatherings with members of their local chapters.

 

Friday promises to be equally exciting with nearly two dozen poster presentations, special session tracks on compliance and quality initiatives, and the Local Chapter Networking Lunch and Event.

 

If you are not here with us in California this year, rest assured that we will post all conference PowerPoint presentations under the conference tab on the Forms & Tools Library for ACDIS members to access when we return next week. Also, be sure to look for our special conference recap to be published with the next edition of the CDI Journal in July.
