Director’s Note: Make the most of quarterly conference calls
May 26, 2011
CDI Strategies - Volume 5, Issue 11
The next ACDIS quarterly conference call will be held on Thursday, May 26, from 1-2 p.m. EST. ACDIS members have received dial-in instructions via e-mail. The quarterly conference calls work as follows: ACDIS Director Brian Murphy directs the call, introducing the advisory board members on the call.
Listeners receive updates on any ongoing association business. The board then discusses submitted questions and listeners can weigh-in on any topic as the discussion progresses by typing *1 on their telephone key pad.
Discussion topics cover a wide variety of concerns from documentation of specific diagnoses to coding issues, program structure, staffing concerns, and physician education.
These calls are designed to be interactive and facilitate back and forth discussion. Members who would like to add their own opinion to the discussion are encouraged to do so by pressing *1 on their telephone keypad.
An archive of previous calls is also available to ACDIS members. A digital recording of each quarter’s meeting along with that meeting’s agenda is posted online typically a few days after the date of the live call so those who cannot listen live can still benefit from the shared discussion.
