After hosting the first Clinical Documentation Improvement Week last year, ACDIS and the CDI Recognition Committee are back preparing for No. 2.
This year CDI Week will take place September 16–22.
Last year’s theme was “Paving the Path (To an Accurate and Complete Health Record)”; this year the CDI Recognition Committee decided to emphasize the partnership with physicians that is so critical to the success and long-term survival of any CDI program. The committee developed the following slogan: “Physicians and CDI: Joining forces in clinical documentation excellence.”
Just like last year we are developing some great resources for our members to access and/or purchase during the week. These include:
- Suggested week’s activities
- Daily Q&A with industry experts
- CDI Industry Outlook survey
- New ACDIS-branded items for purchase
- Downloadable and printable poster
- Free webinars, including “What’s in It for the Physician?” and “Introduction to CDI”
- Other free tools and resources
We hope you take the time to celebrate this week in honor of you, the CDI specialist, and we hope you extend the celebration to include your physicians and other providers, without whom this profession would not exist.
