CDI Strategies - Volume 10, Issue 20
Wow. Somehow, it is already that time. The 2016 ACDIS Conference is finally here. After months and weeks of planning and preparation, we are ready to head to Atlanta for this year’s event. We wanted to take a moment and say a quick thank you to our staff, our sponsors, our exhibitors, our advisory board and committee members, our speakers, and, of course all of you—our nearly 2,000 attendees! We cannot wait to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. This year is shaping up to be our biggest and best conference yet!
Next week, we will be launching our first ever daily conference e-newsletter, ACDIS Con: Special Edition. This will be a way to keep attendees posted and also to give those of you who can’t make it this year a peek at the event. Stay tuned!
Here are a few quick reminders and updates:
- Check out our last pre-conference speaker Q&A with Diana Ortiz, RN, who, along with Kaycie Wood, MSHCM, RHIA, CCS, will present “The Honeymoon Phase Is Over: Why Building a Collaborative Marriage is the Key to Coding and CDI Success.” Read more on the ACDIS Blog.
- Last call for pre-conference registration! We have three boot camps tailored for our conference, and each one offers a unique experience not available in our year-round courses. This year’s sessions include:
- Building a Best Practice CDI Team (attendees receive a free copy of the 2016 CDI Pocket Guide)
- Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI
- CDI for Quality Boot Camp—Special 2-Day Edition
- Download the ACDIS conference app (open to conference attendees only)! Attendees should have received an e-mail with login information and instructions. Check out the ACDIS blog for a few user tips and tricks.
- Don’t forget to schedule some fun time, too! CCDS Coordinator Penny Richards put together a list of must-see attractions and things to do in Atlanta all within a reasonable distance from the convention center and hotel. Read more on the ACDIS Blog.
- Last-minute hotel and transportation reminder. We have a handy list of hotel alternatives, all within reasonable distance to the convention center. We also put together a list of local transportation options.
- In addition to the app, watch out for Q&As, travel tips, sponsor announcements, giveaways, and more on the ACDIS Blog, and on our main Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages.
