Conference corner: Ways to save on your 2019 conference ticket

The early bird discount deadline for the 2019 ACDIS Conference is Friday, April 5. The discount gives registrants $100 off their conference registration. This year’s event takes place May 21-23 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

The early bird discount isn’t the only way you can save money on your conference ticket, though. To begin with, ACDIS members automatically receive $100 off their conference admission, meaning those who register by April 5 will receive a $200 price cut over their non-member, non-early-bird friends, putting their total conference ticket price at $850.

(Also, new this year, if you’re not already an ACDIS member, you can purchase a membership with your conference registration for $65, which is $100 off the regular price.)

Even non-members, however, can take advantage of the pre-conference discount. When you register for the main ACDIS conference and one of the three pre-con events, you’ll receive a 15% discount on your order. This year’s pre-con events are the Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI Boot Camp, Beyond Hospital Walls: CDI Expansion Across the Health System, and CDI Management Essentials. If several CDI specialists from your facility or even your ACDIS local chapter plan to attend the conference, you may be eligible for a group discount. When you register a group of five before April 5, each person’s fee drops to $760, which is the equivalent of getting one person’s registration fee waived. Should you wait till after the early-bird deadline, the price per person in a group of five will be $840.

While you’re registering for the conference and pre-con events, don’t forget to sign up to attend the Closing Night Awards Reception, which will be held on Wednesday, May 22. Tickets for the event are $25, which includes two complementary drink tickets and appetizers.
