Conference corner: ACDIS 2020 Conference speaker application window extended to Sept. 13
Those interested in speaking or presenting a poster at the 2020 ACDIS conference can submit their proposals now. The conference takes place May 5-8, 2020, at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Those applying will be asked to:
- Upload information about themselves and co-presenters (if applicable)
- Draft an agenda and outline for their presentation
- Create a set of learning objectives for the audience
- Include a marketing summary/description for the session
- Submit a draft of the proposed presentation
- Create a recorded snip-it of your presentation (optional)
While the presentation draft needn’t be polished, it should be on a blank, white, PowerPoint and include as much detail as possible. Note that speakers are responsible for obtaining copyright permission for any imagery and/or quotes used in their presentations and must be cognizant of potential compliance and/or HIPAA conflicts.
The application period has been extended to Friday, Sept. 13. The volunteer 2020 Conference Committee will review the applications and, if chosen, speakers will be notified in October. Speakers will then have roughly two months to complete their presentation and submit to the committee for final recommendations and review.
Nearly 99% of conference attendees say they would recommend the event to their colleagues—that’s due in no small part to open-hearted sharing of experiences that speakers bring forward. We hope you’ll consider submitting your story. We're looking forward to hearing from you and looking forward to reviewing your proposals.
