ACDIS update: Register for the conference before the Early Bird cut-off, plan your trip to Indy!
Between now and February 5, ACDIS is offering a $100 off early bird rate for the 2024 ACDIS national conference, which takes place April 8-11 in Indianapolis, Indiana!
If you are looking to hear from inspiring keynote speakers, engage in extensive networking, and further your CDI education, then why wait? Act now to receive your discount.
Additionally, ACDIS members automatically save another $100 on their registration, so if you were looking to become a member, now is the time!
Booking with the ACDIS room block rate at the JW Marriott location, where the conference is being held, will be available until Friday, March 15. There are three hotel options specifically for the conference. After March 15, attendees may not be guaranteed the ACDIS room block rate and, due to the solar eclipse on April 8, Indianapolis is expecting to see an increase in tourist traffic and hotel availability may be limited.
If you’re hoping to earn financial support for attending the event but are unsure of how to ask your organizational leadership, feel free to adapt and use this justification letter as your proposal! Additionally, if you’ve never been to the Circle City before and are looking for sights to see, we’ve got you covered. Here are few of Indianapolis’ attractions:
- Try classics like the searing shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo, the piled high Reuben at Shapiro's, or the oversized pork tenderloin that is served almost everywhere.
- James Beard-recognized chefs are on display at Bluebeard, Vida, and Milktooth.
- If you can't decide what to eat, wander into a food hall at The Garage, AMP, or City Market.
- Check out the Circle Centre Mall, which is home to 60+ retailers, 24 dining options and the Regal United Artist Cinema
There are also events happening all over the city to mark the total solar eclipse on April 8. Plus, ACDIS is offering free eclipse viewing glasses, sponsored by Iodine, for those wishing to step outside to take in the celestial wonder on Monday at 3:06 p.m.
If you are looking for more attractions, ACDIS’ own Lena N. Wilson, MHI, RHIA, CCS, CCDS, RCS, joined the ACDIS team on a free informational webinar last week and provided a long list of ideas. You can find Lena’s full list and the recording of the webinar here.
