ACDIS update: Read expert CDI leadership and management advice in the May/June CDI Journal!
Throughout the year, we try to highlight some of the expertise from our ACDIS CDI Leadership Council members in special reports, surveys, and articles. But we wanted to take the May/June edition of the CDI Journal to bring you the best advice gleaned from the leaders in our midst. Even if you’re not in a management or leadership role yourself, we truly believe you’ll find helpful insight in this edition’s pages. At the very least, it may give you a sneak peek behind the management curtain.
In this edition, readers will find articles about:
- The anatomy of a CDI project
- Developing a mortality review process and a personal case study about mortality reviews
- Building and sustaining a hybrid CDI program
- Leading a systemwide CDI team
- CDI expansion
- Running a department on a budget
- Increasing staffing levels
- Remote CDI leadership
- Aligning coding terminology with clinical reality
- Essential CDI key performance indicators
Of course, this edition also includes our regular Meet a Member feature to offer advice directly from a CDI professional in the ACDIS community. We also included an article from our sponsor, 3M Health Information Systems, about leveraging the top technologies available to extend CDI’s reach and prevent provider burnout.
The ACDIS team hopes you enjoy this latest edition and find something helpful in its pages. As always, the CDI Journal is a benefit of ACDIS membership. To learn more about joining ACDIS, click here.
The next edition of the Journal will be focused on education and engagement. If you’d like to contribute an article or have a topic idea to share, please feel free to reach out at info@acdis.org.
