ACDIS update: Polling results don’t just benefit ACDIS, they benefit YOU!
ACDIS regularly publishes polling questions on the website spanning a number of topics pertaining to the CDI field. While that data gleaned from the polls shows up in a variety of ACDIS offerings—from social media graphics, to CDI Journal articles—the data can also benefit you, the ACDIS members.
ACDIS members can access the past polling results in the archives. Many members have asked for input on specific topics pertinent to their own programs and we often point them to a poll that’s previously run.
The polling data can provide insight into what other CDI programs are working on. For instance, one poll investigated how many CDI programs conduct clinical validation reviews. If you’re planning to venture into these reviews yourself, those results may be of particular interest to you.
We’re also happy to take your suggestions for new polls to help you find data to support a programmatic change at your own facility. If you have a suggestion, email ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald at larchibald@acdis.org.
Please take a moment to peruse the previous polling questions on the ACDIS website. You may be pleasantly surprised to find information on a CDI topic you’re dealing with today.
You can also help out ACDIS and your CDI compatriots by taking the current survey. The open poll on the use of coders in the outpatient physician practice setting can be found here.
