ACDIS update: New query forms added to Resource Library for POA, post-op complications, and more

The ACDIS Forms & Tools Library Committee recently finished up its last 2019 meeting and are taking some time off to enjoy the holidays. Before they did, however, the committee reviewed and approved several new sample query forms for publication. All the new additions were contributed by Erica Braun, MS, BSN, RN, CCDS, from Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha—thank you! Here are the newest queries:

• Pulmonary embolism with cor pulmonale
• Post-operative complications
• Present on admission
• Pre-pregnancy body mass index

While these samples aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution for all CDI programs everywhere, samples such as these in the Resource section of the website can be a starting point for developing your own forms, tools, policies, and procedures.
