ACDIS update: Join us for the final quarterly conference call of 2017 next Thursday

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 53

With changing payment methodologies and the ongoing shift from fee for service-based payment to pay for performance in the healthcare industry, CDI has had no choice but to evolve.

Traditional CDI metrics such as case mix index, length of stay, and CC/MCC capture rates are no longer sufficient to tell the whole story. CDI departments must think outside the box and adopt new metrics to measure CDI efforts, according to ACDIS’ new white paper, “CDI and the evolution from finance to quality.”

ACDIS members are invited to join the ACDIS Advisory Board next Thursday, November 16, 1 p.m., eastern, for the last Quarterly Membership Conference Call of 2017, which will focus on the new white paper.

Members can register by visiting the call archive page on the ACDIS website. Call instructions will also be sent to members via email. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Should you have any questions about the paper or call, email Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas at mvarnavas@acdis.org.

Please note that this is an ACDIS membership benefit and only available to ACDIS members. Please do not share the dial in instructions.

Please dial into the call 10 minutes early due to the high caller volume. We look forward to discussing this exciting topic with you!

Note: This call qualifies for one (1) continuing education credit for Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) holders. To obtain this credit you must complete the KeySurvey link which will be available shortly following the call.
