ACDIS update: CDI Week starts next week!
It’s almost here! We are all always excited for: CDI Week! This celebration of CDI professionals takes place annually during the third week of September, meaning the 2021 CDI Week starts next week on September 13th and continues through Friday, the 17th.
This year marks the 11th celebration of this week of recognition, and if you haven’t yet seen it yet, the theme is CDI Kitchen: Recipes for a Successful Program. That means we want to hear, and see, all the ingredients you think make a CDI program successful. But don’t forget to have fun with it and use our kitchen theme with all of your CDI Week celebrations.
Not sure yet what to do to celebrate with your team? The ACDIS Furthering Education Committee has come up with some activity ideas including virtual cooking classes, potluck lunches, and chef-themed gift baskets for staff or physician champions.
Here is what else you can expect to see for CDI Week this year:
- The annual CDI Week Industry Survey Report that delves into all of the hot topics of CDI you want to know
- Daily Q&As with members of our Furthering Education Committee members, both posted to the CDI Week page and on the ACDIS blog
- Fun games and giveaways on our social media accounts
- Lots of great promotions on ACDIS products, to be revealed each day
- A free sponsored webinar taking place on September 16, diving into the CDI Week Industry Survey results
- Posted activities such as a crossword puzzle, word find, and recipe card template to submit your recipes to ACDIS
- Limited time CDI Week themed merchandise
Be sure to celebrate CDI Week in your own organization and send photos of your celebration to ACDIS Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org).
