ACDIS update: Call for Journal submissions on CDI quality topics!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 36

With our newest September/October issue published, ACDIS is ending the year with one of our favorite topics: CDI and quality! Considering how much of CDI efforts involve documenting quality of care, it’s important to focus on the various ways CDI programs can have an impact on patients and better their organization. So, for our November/December edition, ACDIS is on the lookout for articles that provide knowledge and advice on CDI and quality.

This is where the wonderful members of the CDI community come in! Any interested person who would like to contribute to the Journal on this subject is highly encouraged to reach out. Submissions can be sent to us up until Monday, October 2 for consideration in this upcoming edition. If you’d like to write but would like more direction, we’re especially interested in the following topics:

  • Physician quality programs (e.g., MACRA and MIPS)
  • Population health/social determinants of health
  • Working with the quality department
  • Tracking and reporting quality impact

Your submission should include your original piece of writing (usually between 700-1,500 words long), a short professional bio, and a headshot, which you can then submit to ACDIS Associate Editor Jess Fluegel (jfluegel@acdis.org) by October 2. After that point, the ACDIS editorial staff will be happy to help you edit and adjust the article for publication. If you have an idea for an article but would like some editorial guidance to start you on the right foot, contact Fluegel too.

Articles selected for publication in the CDI Journal will be awarded ACDIS CEUs on a 0.5 CEUs per 350 published words basis.

If you run out of time, feel free to reach out still and we’ll be happy to help you find a good place for your article. We look forward to reading your submissions!
